Joshua Bonnetta uses digital and analog media to create experimental animation, film and sound works for performance, installation and theatrical exhibition. His work focuses on the intersection of sound and moving image and is primarily concerned with how the spatial and textural elements of sound construct representation. He has exhibited throughout Russia, South America, U.K., North America, Korea and Europe.
He is the 2009 recipient of the National Film Board of Canada award from the Images Festival for "Best Emerging/Mid-Career filmmaker". He is a member of the collective AKVK.
