A visual and acoustic reinterpretation of a geolocated soundwalk by the Audiotopie collective, Dislocation is an improvised performance that rounds up an intriguing spate of stroboscopic frescoes and syncopated rhythms. Roche Ovale (Éric Andrade, Marc-André Provencher, Étienne Legast and David Martin) and Thierry Gauthier, who all share a keen interest in electroacoustic experimentation, make use of data bending, semi-random generation and analog synthesis, to create hypnotic, ever-expanding projections based on a cornucopia of city sounds and images. Their expressionistic, interactive project amplifies the most minute of sonic fluctuations.
