A live visual and motion design collective rounding up three former multimedia students in Gobelins, France who share an interest in saturated fantasy worlds and illustrated irony, BRILLE² (pronounced Brille Brille) have been conjuring up eye-popping visual architectures for the likes of Mr. Oizo and Simian Mobile Disco since 2008. Their mastery of design fundamentals manifests itself in whimsical snippets of regular polyhedra or kinetic cat images colossally blown up at events such as Igloofest and the Montréal Jazz Festival. Rémi Vincent (aka Tetsouille, one third of BRILLE²) is also an in-demand art director and motion designer, celebrated for his collaborations with Moment Factory (Madonna, Tiësto), Cirque du Soleil and Geodezik (Katy Perry, Pink). Vincent is also one half of the technically trippy, animation-mighty creative duo Champagne Club Sandwich (with Gabriel Poirier-Galarneau). From the hand crafted to the highly elaborated, Vincent’s otherworldly optical dimensions are well worth stepping into at EM15.
