Daniel Iregui is an new media artist that creates interactive experiences that use technology as a visual language. He works
with the infinite and random combinations produced when a system is open for the audience to transform it. Born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1981, Daniel Iregui currently lives and produces all his work from Montréal, Canada. He is the founder of Iregular, an interactive content creation practice in Montréal. Iregui’s work, often signed as Iregular, has been presented around the world including the BIAN in Montréal, the Mapping Festival in Switzerland, the MAB in Denmark, MUTEK Montreal, MUTEK Mexico, the Biennial of Digital Arts in Enghien-Les-Bains, France, Glow Festival in The Netherlands, L.E.V. Festival in Spain, Shuó Taikoo Li in Beijing and FACT in the UK . His first solo exhibition SPECTRAL EXITANCE was presented in the Van Abbemuseum of Eindhoven on November 2015.
MOON is an interactive installation where one can control the moonlight. Visible through a window floating in a space, a moon shines. A participant gains control of the moon’s light by touching the space out the window.
