This enigmatic Montréal group, comprised of Jonathan Parant (Fly Pan Am, Feu Thérèse), Alexandre St-Onge (Klaxon Gueule, Les Esprits Frappeurs, Mineminemine, Shalabi Effect) and Alexander Wilson (01ek, Parabolik Guerilla, ÆNTH), mark their third MUTEK performance with Catastrophe du chronologique, a largely improvised, face-melting audiovisual experience that’s totally in keeping with their mystical themes. Described as “a tribal ritual for folding space time” that goes awry, this transcendental narrative promises to send laser beams and smoke signals across the room, resulting in an immersive AV performance that will leave the universe irreversibly knotted.
