A maestro of intricate, time-based geometric narratives and spellbinding audiovisual artworks, London-based live-cinema artist, writer and performer Paul Prudence explores myriad abstract avenues to amalgamate sound, space and form. His practice hits all the right, synchronous notes to craft immersive, Big Bang-worthy live experiences. Having travelled to digital arts festivals internationally to share his inter-media research and work with computational, algorithmic and generative environments, Prudence also writes about emerging currents at the intersection of art, media and technology for many publications. Cyclotone, Prudence’s live performance of flickering beauty to be rolled out at EM15, is inspired by Russian cosmonauts, Constructivist-minded artists, particle accelerators, and four-dimensional space. Cross-wiring electroacoustic sound design and conceptual video material using only black, white and grey tones, Prudence delivers a deluge of mesmerizing, floor-to-ceiling, multi-modal synchronisations.
