Deploying vivid colour, striking geometric design and arresting animations, Baya taps into the pulse of the music, creating synergies between sight and sound that fly from the screen. In his video and mapping work he revels in repetition of forms, contrast, colour and type face, as well as hypnotic and surreal narratives, always understanding how to dress a space for maximum impact.
A founder of Montréal multimedia and graphic design company Baillat Cardell & fils, Jean-Sebastien Baillat has been creating high tech visuals, branding campaigns, printed materials, web based work, dome performances, light and laser design, installations and scenography for close to 15 years.
