Immaculate harmonies and deep bass frequencies fluidly combine in Sunny Graves' soundscapes drawn from field recordings and saturated synth lines. Relentless or sedating, every track engages on a physical level, gaining momentum as each textured layer cyclically compounds and gradually unfolds.

Born in Guatemala and raised between Venezuela and the UK, Williams listened to a mix of jungle, hiphop and '90s electronics. In Barcelona since 2002, he collaborated in experimental rhythm-meets-drone project Jahbitat and the cosmic-leaning Balearic synth duo Narwhal before going completely solo as Sunny Graves in 2012, exploring multi-layered rhythm and melody, emotional effects and sounds inspired by the natural world. His recent Erosion EP takes its name and musical inspiration from a humbling trek through the Himalayan mountain regions of India, slowly unpacking dense layers of rhythm and texture over time.

Live, Sunny Graves combines software, synthesizers, effects pedals, a sampler and vocals to create a contrasting mix of subtle atmospheres and abrasive intrusions, bright surges and still points.

With the support of Institut Ramon Llull and Barcelona City Council.
