Nathalie Maillé has been the Executive Director of the Conseil des arts de Montréal since July 2013. Founded in 1956, this institution identifies, supports and recognizes excellence and innovation in the professional creation, production and dissemination of the arts among more than 400 Montréal arts organizations. With a solid knowledge of cultural politics and issues in arts and culture, upon assuming her position, Nathalie Maillé put into place significant organizational restructuring that centered on decompartmentalization as well as the softening of operating rules. She also placed emphasis on organizational values of excellence, boldness, creativity, togetherness and transparency. In addition, she contributed to equality as regards to the recognition of the role of cultural diversity in the arts and among emerging artists. Nathalie Maillé holds a bachelor’s degree in dance from UQAM, as well as a graduate degree in cultural management from HEC Montréal.
