Dark, fast and edging on dance floor chaos, Minimal Violence commits to a DIY punk approach to electronic aesthetics, inclusive of difference in their ideals, focused and propulsive in their sound.

After vintage hardware travels in analog lo-fi techno on earlier releases, Minimal Violence conjured moody synth melodies and travelled deep into acid's dance floor possibilities on their Acid Lakes LP. With their latest release, MVX / U41A on Ninja Tune imprint Technicolour, the duo keeps that gnarled acid going in euphoric breakbeats and saturated bass, waves of deft melody pushing through it all. This year, the duo has hosted underground techno and electro mixes on NTS radio and DJ Mag and will soon debut a new track on upcoming compilation Spectral 139 on Spectral Sound, sister label to Ghostly International. Recent live performances have brought them to Brooklyn's Output Grayscale event, Berlin's Tresor club and the Sustain-Release festival in New York state.

As part of MUTEK's Red Bull Music Virage Sunday showcase, Minimal Violence launches bursts of roiling introspection and post-sunset catharsis in a live set on the outdoor stage.
