Dimitris Kontopoulos is a Curator and Science Communication Expert with 7 years of experience working in the Exhibitions Departments of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Tokyo, and the ArtScience Museum in Singapore. He has collaborated with world-class scientists and artists, the Japanese and Singaporean governments as well as multinational corporations in order to introduce cutting-edge scientific research and the latest forms of artistic expression to a wide range of audiences. Recently, he curated the exhibition All Possible Paths: Richard Feynman’s Curious Life, where abstract notions from quantum mechanics were expressed as a series of immersive installations, videos and sculptures by contemporary artists. He is also currently working with the Japanese collective of ultra-technologists, teamLab, on the development of their permanent exhibition Future World. He has also worked with Icelandic singer Björk, American DJ and techno producer Jeff Mills and Japanese video game creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi for exhibitions and events that combine art, science and technology.
