Movistar LiveSountracks presents: Music and cinema, a radiograph about an artistic symbiosis.

Movistar LiveSountracks presents: Music and cinema, a radiograph about an artistic symbiosis.

“The art of cinema is more similar to music than any other art”.  Charles Chaplin.

Music and cinema are strong cultural references, it´s communion has marked generations and it´s a faithful representation of different social and political movements. Even in the early days, when cinema was called “silent”, there was live music and sound effects to create feelings amongst the audience and to intensify certain scenes in the movies. The film and the music industry have always worked together in a reciprocal relation creating unique atmospheres for the audience.

The panel of experts will evaluate the influence of music in films, how the sound contributes to retain a certain visual frame on our memories, and how these images become later part of the collective imagination.
