Drainolith
Alexander Moskos is a Montreal based musician. He has played in numerous formations in the city, including the Unireverse, GOA!, Et Sans, Thames and AIDS Wolf. He has worked extensively as a solo performer under the name Drainolith. Moskos’ live performances combine primitive electronics, analogue synthesizers and digital sampling. Moskos’s work betrays a coarse low-fi aesthetic. A subtle emotional vector, constantly at odds with it’s stern musical backdrop, can be traced through the music. He is presently hard at work on J’ai Vu la Femme de Frobisher Nu a Beaver Hall, an opera about a french-canadian voyageur gone bananas, and an accompanying instrumental piece, Tranquil Heat.
