MUTEK, SAT and CODE Live present Jamming the Network
MUTEK is proud to take part in a special event co-programmed with the Society for Art and Technology (SAT) and CODE Live, a digital edition of the Vancouver Olympics' cultural programming.
Thanks to a real-time virtual network developed by the SAT, a group of some of the most sought-after Canadian talent in electronic music will be performing in Vancouver as one-half of a real-time improvisational jam that sees it's other half reflected in Montreal by a mix of high-calibre artists from Germany and Canada.
The night begins with a site-specific performance of Germany's GROUPSHOW. Uniting electronic mastermind JAN JELINEK (aka Farben), drummer HANNO LEICHTMANN, and ANDREW PEKLER on effect-laden guitar, this rule-bending trio is based on live, collective improvisation.
At 1am (10pm Vancouver time), an impressive roster of Canadian talent takes the stage to jam live across the continent, inwhat promises to be a very unique connection between two remote cities and many talented musical masterminds.
