The party begins February 17, 2010 at the Moog Club, with a Soirée MUTEK that puts into contrast two very different acts.

On the one hand, French producer Sylvain Garcia, aka LE K, known for his explosive performances charged with psychedelic soundscapes, monstrous grooves and a large dose of cheeky humour. His distinct productions have graced nights at clubs such as the Rex and Propaganda, as well as festival heavyweights such as Sonar.

Taking a sharp turn from LE K, swiss producer SONJA MOONEAR, also known for her Junction Sm project with Dandy Jack, seduces her audiences with her intimate sound rooted in her background as a trained pianist. Her style has led to collaborations with an impressive number of labels, the likes of Kalk Pets, Perlon, Karat, and most recently Lessizmore, as well as artists like Miss Kittin or Luciano, not to mention the strong impression on DJ Hell after a session in Tokyo.

The second night, February 18, 2010, explores the interplay between sound and cinema. A collaboration between MUTEK.ES and Livesoundracks, a platform promoting audiovisual projects, this special night will be presented in the nostalgic atmosphere of the Vintage bar.

Italian duo DRAMA SOCIETY will be reinterpreting the musical score to Italian director Pier Paolo Pasolini's "Teorema", live. Having performed next to the likes of Ellen Allien, Vladislav Delay and Agoria, this act is definitely not to miss. An Italian-style buffet as well as a photo exhibit of works from various artists, all inspired by works of the legendary filmmaker, will round out this night of audiovisual experimentation.

The third and final night of Micro_MUTEK.ES, held at Raum Club, on February 19, 2010, brings together two acts that are guaranteed to get the crowd moving.

AKUFEN, one of house music's most prestigious names during the early 2000s, will be bringing his signature micro-house grooves that have gained him notoriety since one of his singles fell into the hands of non other than Thomas Brinkmann at the first ever edition of MUTEK in Montreal. With influences running from Matthew Herbert to Quebec painter Jean-Paul Riopelle, the Montreal native's productions have been championed by labels such as Background, Trapez and Perlon.

Clement Zemstov, Damien Vandesande, and Jonathan "JoJo" Illel form the French trio dOP, a group that have been making waves since their formation in 2009. Following their performance at the 10th edition of MUTEK in Montreal, and Poland's Unsound festival, the trio continue to turn heads with their re-energized house, liberally watered with vodka and copious vocals! Unsurprisingly they've occasionally found themselves in the company of the beloved French duo Nôze, who's dramatic and theatrical style has definitely impacted the dOP act.

The night's visuals will be no less spectacular, with DAVID MARDONES providing his groundbreaking interactive installations. "Play with Motion" lets anyone in the audience interact with the video projections to command them through motion!

Jazzy soundscapes, live cinematographic soundtracks and clashes on the dancefloor, Micro_MUTEK.ES promises many refreshing twists and turns and the discovery of diverse ambiences and venues over its three days of festivlties. Be sure not to miss this very special first-edition!
