After completing a master's in Communication and Media and another in Literary and Artistic Intellectual Property Law, Antoine Cayrol launched Fatcat Films in 2005. He has since produced four short films which have won numerous awards internationally, dozens of music videos, commercials in the world of luxury and entertainment, and 3 transmedia documentaries for web, TV and radio. In November 2013, Fatcat Films incorporated the audiovisual group Premiere Heure and became its digital label. In January 2014 he created a second production company Okio Studio, specializing in the production of content for virtual reality, producing commercials for Jean Paul Gaultier and Louis Vuitton, and 2 VR experiences, I,Philip and Alteration.
In October 2017 he sold Okio to a commercial group and teamed up with new producers to create a new immersive production company—Atlas 5, operating in Paris, New York and Los Angeles. They've since produced the VR experiences Vestige (Tribeca 2018), Battlescar (Sundance 2018) and Gloomy Eyes (Sundance and SXSW 2019).
